To better support your success, Stellar MLS will offer SMS text notifications for important MLS education reminders!

 

These messages will keep critical deadlines and due dates front and center, so you can complete your required education with confidence and ensure your Stellar MLS account remains in good standing!

What to Know About Education Reminders - Launching Soon

New Stellar MLS customers must complete the required MLS education within 60 days of joining. All Stellar MLS customers must complete Compliance Refresh training every two years.

In addition to email reminders, Stellar MLS will send SMS text notifications 60, 30, 15, and 2 days before education deadlines. You will also receive a notification if your account is suspended for overdue education.

Registering for Stellar MLS training is simple! Courses are offered in self-paced online formats, live webinars, and in-person sessions, designed to fit your scheduling needs.

Once you complete your required MLS education, you will receive a confirmation email from Stellar MLS. Your record will be automatically updated to reflect your completed education.

How to Sign Up for SMS Reminders

Registering for Stellar MLS text reminders is easy! Follow the steps below or watch our comprehensive video tutorial.

Register for SMS Messages

Visit the SMS Portal

Visit the SMS Portal or navigate to "My Profile" on your Stellar Central Dashboard. You may be prompted to sign in using your MLS ID.

Register Your Phone Number

Provide the phone number you wish to receive SMS Text Reminders at. Then, agree to the Terms of Use.

Verify Your Phone Number

You will receive a verification code at the phone number you have provided. When prompted, enter this verification code in the SMS Portal.

Check Your Education Status

You can check your Stellar MLS Required Education status at any time by clicking "Education Status" in the navigation bar.

Text Stop to Opt-Out

To opt out of text reminders, text STOP to any previous message or text STOP to 689-407-8024.

Confirm You Have Opted Out of Messages

You can confirm that you have opted out of Stellar MLS text reminders by visiting the SMS portal here.

Toggle Off Education Messages

You also have the option to turn off education-specific text reminders in the Stellar MLS Portal by clicking the blue on/off button. If Stellar MLS offers SMS additional reminders in the future, you will automatically be opted in to receive them.

Important Tips for SMS Reminders

SMS reminders are designed to notify you of important updates to your account. Please ensure the phone number you register for SMS messages is your personal mobile number, not a shared office or team phone number.

Updating Your Number on Record

If you need to update your phone number for Stellar MLS text reminders, click the "Update Number" button. From here, you will be required to re-register your new phone number. Click here for a tutorial on updating your phone number.

  • What is Stellar MLS’s new text reminder service?

    Stellar MLS now offers SMS text reminders to help our customers stay on top of required education deadlines. If you opt in to these messages, you’ll receive timely alerts regarding upcoming training deadlines. 

  • Who will receive text reminders?

    To receive text reminders, you must opt in to receive messages from Stellar MLS.  Click here to register to begin receiving messages.

  • How many texts will I receive?

    Message and data frequency may vary depending on your Stellar MLS account training and education deadlines. 

  • What if my phone number changes or is out of date?

    You can update your phone number at any time in the Stellar MLS SMS portal. Click here for a comprehensive tutorial! 

  • I already completed my education, but I’m still getting reminders. What should I do?

    Please allow 24-48 hours after you complete the required MLS training for your completion status to be updated. If SMS reminders continue, contact our Support Center at Support@StellarMLS.com

  • If I have opted in to text reminders but no longer wish to receive messages, how do I opt out?

    You may opt out of Stellar MLS text reminders at any time by texting STOP to 689-407-8024. Even if you opt out of text reminders, you are still responsible for all required training deadlines.

  • Why doesn't Stellar MLS offer text reminders for invoices?

    Stellar MLS is committed to providing you with the information you need to maintain a good account status. We are currently exploring other opportunities to offer text reminders and will inform you of any updates. If you are looking for reminders and information regarding invoicing, please click here

  • Will I continue to receive email reminders regarding my training and account status?

    Yes. Stellar MLS will continue to provide email reminders regarding your training and account status. 

  • Will I be charged for receiving Stellar MLS text reminders?

    Standard messaging rates from your mobile carrier may apply. Stellar MLS does not charge any additional fees for SMS reminders. 

  • What types of reminders will I receive through SMS?

    You will receive general training‑related reminders based on your upcoming education deadlines. Messages do not currently include course-specific details.

  • I opted back into messages, how do I know if it worked?

    Confirm that you have successfully opted back into Stellar MLS text notifications by visiting the SMS portal. You will be prompted to verify your number. 

  • Can I use a landline or VOIP number for SMS reminders?

    No. You must use a mobile phone number that can receive domestic SMS messages. VOIP numbers, landlines, and international numbers are not supported at this time. 

  • I opted in, but I am not receiving any text reminders. What should I do?

    If you are not receiving messages, verify that:

    • Your mobile carrier supports SMS messaging.
    • Your device has not blocked the Stellar MLS sending number (689‑407‑8024).
    • You have not previously texted STOP to the system.

  • How do I get help if I’m experiencing issues with SMS reminders?

    You can contact the Stellar MLS Support Center at Support@StellarMLS.com for assistance with SMS‑related issues, including troubleshooting mobile delivery or updating your information. 

  • How quickly will SMS reminders start after I opt in?

    Once you opt in, SMS reminders will automatically begin the next time a relevant education deadline approaches. Reminders are sent based on your individual training status.

  • Can I receive reminders on more than one phone number?

    No. Stellar MLS currently supports one mobile phone number per account for receiving SMS reminders.

  • Is my mobile number stored securely?

    Yes. Your mobile number is stored in accordance with Stellar MLS’s privacy policy and used only for approved SMS reminder purposes. You may review the full policy here

  • Can I update my phone number without re‑opting in?

    Yes. You can update your mobile number in the Stellar MLS SMS portal at any time. Your SMS reminders will continue to be delivered to the newly updated number. 

  • Will SMS reminders replace email notifications?

    No. SMS reminders are an optional enhancement. You will continue to receive email reminders regarding your training and account status. 

  • What number will Stellar MLS use to send text reminders?

    All SMS reminders are sent from 689‑407‑8024. You may add this number to your contacts to help prevent messages from being filtered by your device or carrier.

  • If I opt out by texting STOP, can I opt back in later?

    Yes. You can return to the Stellar MLS SMS portal at any time to enable SMS reminders.  Please note that opting out only applies to and affects future messages. Click here to watch a tutorial on opting back in to messages. 

  • Will this change my multifactor authentication (MFA) phone number for logging into Stellar MLS?

     No, the phone number used for receiving Stellar MLS text notifications will not replace your MFA phone number. Your MFA phone number can be different from the phone number used for text notifications.
